350 Construction Jobs To Fill At I-70 Jobs Fair Saturday
CDOT seeks to fill around 350 well-paying construction jobs with local residents from areas neighboring construction.
DENVER, CO – If you live near the I-70 Central construction project and you're interested in a well-paying construction job, mark your calendar for the Central 70 Hiring Fair Saturday, Nov. 3 from 11 a.m.–1 p.m.
Bring resumes to get connected with high-paying jobs in the construction industry. Kiewit Infrastructure, local unions, subcontractors, and WORKNOW (an alliance of organizations that integrate construction industry job training and community resources).

It's a family affair, with kids activities and food trucks. Shuttle buses will run every half hour from the 40th and Colorado RTD station.
At least 20 percent of full-time hires (350 jobs) for CDOT's the four-and-a-half-year project must come from 15 local neighborhoods, according to a directive from CDOT to subcontractor Kiewit Meridiam Partners.
Jobs that must be filled include:
- Quality Testers
- Registered Apprentices
- Electricians
- Traffic Signal Journeymen
- Security Guards
- Engineering Technicians
- Traffic Control Supervisors
- Inspectors

The project also provides a pathway for candidates to start with the Local Laborer, Carpenter and Operator Unions.

- Globeville
- Green Valley Ranch
- Montbello
- North Aurora
- Northeast Park Hill

No construction experience? No problem. WORKNOW lines up applicants with training and opportunities to learn skills that will lead to high-paying construction jobs. CDOT also is providing more than 20,000 hours of on-the-job training.

The Central 70 Project will reconstruct a 10-mile stretch of I-70, adding one new Express Lane in each direction and remove a 54-year old viaduct to lower the interstate between Brighton and Colorado boulevards.
