Knife-Point Carjacking In Denver: Police Seek Suspect

Police are looking for a man who faces kidnapping charges for allegedly holding a driver at knife point for several hours in Denver.

DENVER, CO – Denver police are asking for the public's assistance to identify a man wanted in connection with an alleged multi-hour carjacking.

Metro Denver Crime Stoppers is offering $2,000 for information leading to the unknown man who allegedly held a driver at knifepoint starting around 1 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 1, when the unknown kidnapper entered the victim's vehicle at 1300 West Colfax Avenue. Police did not say whether the driver was part of a ride-sharing service.

According to police, the man, who was also reportedly armed with a metal bar and a gun, allegedly, "forced the victim to drive around at knife point" until about 6 a.m., when he exited the car at a Starbucks near West Colfax and North Lipan Street.

The man was described as a black male in his 40s, about 5'7" tall. He was last seen wearing a grey hoodie and sweatpants.

If you see this person, police advised, do NOT approach or contact the suspect. Instead call 911 immediately.
