Man Died After Fatal Assault Near Larimer Square: Denver Police

Police identified the man found beaten with injuries early in the morning of Feb. 20.

DENVER, CO – Police released the identity of a man killed after a fatal assault by an unknown person this week. Police announced the Denver Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to the early-morning beating.

John Otto, who's age was not given, was found injured around 12:20 a.m. Feb. 20 on the street in the 1500 block of Lawrence Avenue near Larimer Square, police said. He was taken to a hospital and later died of his injuries.

Police are asking anyone with information on the death of Otto to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters may remain anonymous and can receive a cash award.
