1 Hospitalized After Officer-Involved Shooting In Denver

DENVER, CO — Detectives are investigating an officer-involved shooting at an apartment complex in Denver, police said.

An armed man was shot in the 1000 block of South Parker Road, the Denver Police Department said.

The corrections officers who were involved were part of a fugitive apprehension task force that was taking a parole violator into custody, police said.

"At this time, it does not appear that any DPD officers are involved," the tweet read.

No officers were injured, police said.

The man was taken to an area hospital. The extent of his injuries was not known.
