A vehicle was seen driving away after the shooting, and officers saw the same vehicle just after midnight, police said. After a chase, Johnson crashed the car near West Byers Place and South Tejon Street, and he and two juveniles ran from the officers, the DA's office said. After a K-9 search, all three were found and arrested. One of the juveniles was later released from custody.

Cabriales was hospitalized in critical condition, and she died Wednesday evening.

A GoFundMe page was launched for Cabriales' 6-year-old son.

"Pamela impacted so many people's lives with her smile, love and acts of kindness," the page read. "Her legacy will live on."

Cabriales' friends and family said they want justice for the young mother, who was a real estate agent in Denver's metro area. She was described as a loving person who always cared about others.
