Planterra Foods Opens Manufacturing Plant In Denver

The plant-based food plant will employ 200 people in corporate and manufacturing roles, the company said.

DENVER, CO — Planterra Foods is opening a manufacturing plant next week in Denver, the company announced.

The new 189,000-square-foot facility, at 1485 E 61st Ave, will employ around 200 people at full operations in corporate and manufacturing roles, Planterra said.

“This is a huge milestone for Planterra Foods, and a dream come true to be manufacturing our OZO™ products here in our hometown of Denver,” said Darcey Macken, CEO of Planterra Foods, in a statement.

The company, which is owned by JBS, is a plant-based protein start-up based in Colorado.

Planterra is known for its OZO burgers, nuggets, sausage patties and OZO ground, none of which contains meat.
