Recount Confirms Boebert Victory Over Frisch In Colorado Race
Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert narrowly defeated Democrat Adam Frisch with 50.06% of the vote.

"The mandatory recount in Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District changed four total votes and confirmed Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert’s victory," the secretary of state’s office announced Monday.

Boebert narrowly defeated Democrat Adam Frisch with 50.06% of the vote. The recount yielded an increase of one vote for Frisch and a decrease of three votes for Boebert.
In Colorado, a recount is mandated when the margin of victory is less than 0.5% of the leading candidate’s total votes, which would be 819 votes in this case. Boebert beat Frisch by 546 votes.

Frisch conceded before the recount, however, saying that the recount was unlikely to change the results in his favor.
“I honor and accept the certified results of the Colorado Secretary of State and wholeheartedly affirm the sanctity of Colorado elections,” he said in a Monday evening statement. “While we hoped for a different outcome, we defied incredible odds with the closeness of this race and delivered a moral victory for the people of CO-3, many of whom crossed party lines to reject extremism with their vote.”
The district includes the Western Slope and sweeps east to include Pueblo County. It leaned further right after redistricting last year, and Boebert’s narrow victory came as a surprise to many politicos in the state and country.
The secretary of state’s office also announced the results of the permissive recount in House District 43, which covers Highlands Ranch, on Monday. That outcome is unchanged as both Democrat Robert Marshall and Republican state Rep. Kurt Huffman lost one vote, and Marshall remains the winner in the race.
