Snow Day: Denver Area Schools On Late-Start Thursday
A winter storm that will affect traffic in metro Denver has led to some school late-starts on Thursday. See list here.

DENVER, CO – A snow storm that dumped inches in the mountains and snarled up Denver-area traffic for hours will continue overnight, making for a commuter mess Thursday morning.
Some school districts and public offices are closing or opening late Thursday to accommodate the traffic and weather.
Here's a list of which schools are affected:

- Adams 12 Fire Star Schools - Late Start
- Schools will be delayed 2 hours on Thursday.
- Adams County District 14 - Late Start
- Schools will be delayed 2 hours on Thursday.
- Aurora Public Schools -Late Start
- Schools will be delayed 1 hour on Thursday.
- Cherry Creek Schools- Late Start
- Elementary schools delayed 1 hour; middle- and high schools delayed 1.5 hours.
- Denver School District -Late Start
- Classes will be delayed by 1 hour for schools that start at 8:30 a.m. or later.
- Littleton Public Schools - Late Start
- Schools will be delayed 2 hours on Thursday.

Wednesday Evening: Snow showers likely, mainly before 2am. Areas of fog before 1am. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 2. Wind chill values as low as -9. North northeast wind 5 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Thursday
Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 18. Wind chill values as low as -8. Light and variable wind becoming north 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon.
Thursday Night
Mostly clear, with a low around 2. Wind chill values as low as -8. Calm wind becoming south southwest around 6 mph in the evening.
Banded snowfall will move northeastward onto the eastern plains thru 10pm w/a quick 1"-2" of additional snow under the heavier, persistent bands. For the overnight period regionwide, expect light snow & flurries w/accumulations around an inch. #COwx pic.twitter.com/DU1glPu9mn
