Storm Advisory: Hail And High Winds Likely In Metro Denver
Ping-pong ball sized hail reported in northeastern Colorado. Metro Denver may see small hail and wind gusts up to 50 mph.
DENVER, CO – Severe thunderstorms and possible tornados and large hail are predicted for the northeast corner of the state Friday, but Denver will see less-severe storms, the National Weather Service said.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms over the mountains will spread east onto the Front Range and eastern plains, the NWS said. In Weld County and northeastern Colorado some storms are predicted to be severe with large hail and damaging winds, the agency said. Sedgwick, Colorado reported "ping-pong ball" sized hail, the agency said.
"A tornado or two will also be possible," for the eastern portion of the state, a severe storm warning said. Most severe weather will hit east of I-25and north of I-76, the agency said.

For metro Denver and the Front Range, expect wind gusts to up 50 mph. along with "brief heavy rain," the agency said. Small hail will be possible.
A chance of showers and thunderstorms will continue for Saturday, NWS said.

A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 39. Breezy, with a west northwest wind 5 to 15 mph becoming east northeast after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 21 mph.
Sunday
A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 62. East wind 5 to 7 mph.

A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 42. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
