Police did not name the man who allegedly shot two officers, then barricaded himself in a house, setting it on fire.

Denver, CO – A man taken into custody Sunday evening after a six-hour standoff with Denver Police has died of his injuries, police said in a statement.
The incident is still under investigation, and police did not release the man's name, saying that information would come from the Denver Medical Examiner's office.
The incident began in the 600 block of Inca Street around 11:30 a.m. when officers responded to a report of shots fired in the area. Two officers investigating the call were shot in front of the house, allegedly by the unidentified man. The officers were dragged to safety by their fellow officers and taken to Denver Health Medical Center, police said.

I just stopped by @DenverHealthMed. The officers are in good spirits. We are encouraged by their attitudes. They wanted to thank @DenverPolice, the people of #Denver and everyone for their love, thoughts and prayers. They can't wait to get back to work!
