Tornado Warning Issued For Adams County

Residents were told to take cover immediately.

ADAMS COUNTY, CO -- A tornado warning was issued Sunday afternoon for Adams County. Residents were urged to take cover immediately.

Officials said most injuries related to tornadoes are from debris falling onto people's heads. Anyone in a tornado's path is urged to find a safe room, basement or storm cellar to stay safe.

They also said anyone in a mobile home should leave immediately and anyone without shelter should find low to the ground coverage and cover their heads.
