Credit Card Skimmers Found At Golden Gas Station: Cops
The identity-stealing device may be linked to a case of credit card fraud in September, Golden police said.

GOLDEN, CO – A credit card "skimming" device was found at a Golden gas station last week, Golden police said.
Skimmers are small electronic devices that read encoded credit card strips and save the account information to be collected by identity thieves. The device was found by pump servicing staff on Oct. 7 at the Diamond Shamrock gas station at 17691 W. Colfax Ave., police said.
Police said they had a report last month that a person may have had a credit card compromised after using the gas pumps at that Diamond Shamrock. The owner reported fraudulent activity on the card after using it to buy gas at that location Sept. 21, a press release from the department said.
