• Dozens of Jeffco Public Schools employees to lose their jobs due to budget cuts (9news.com) — Jeffco Public Schools, headquartered in Golden, is cutting about 139 positions, with roughly 50 current employees told their jobs will end after next school year. Facing a $60 million budget shortfall and declining enrollment, the district plans reductions across food services, operations, special education, teaching and learning, and finance that Golden-area families and staff will feel directly.
