JeffCo Schools To Take A Look At School Meals
Community members, parents, students and staff will be asked for input in a new task force to look at school food and nutrition.

GOLDEN, CO – JeffCo Public Schools is taking a new look at school meals and the district seeks input from the public.
The district announced that a new task force of around 20 members will form to look at "Food & Nutrition Services."
The task force will look at how to provide more nutritious meals for students, how food should be prepared, how to make food more appealing to students and the environmental impact of school lunches.

The district wants to hear from community members, parents, students, and staff. The district also seeks input from residents with connections to the food service industry or anyone who has any special expertise that might be helpful to the task force.
The deadline to apply for the task force is Nov. 15. Apply on the website here.

Members will be appointed by the superintendent. Applicants will be notified by Dec. 1.
The Task Force will meet and work December 2018 through approximately August 2019.
