Bullets ricocheted off a home as a driver fired shots into the air and rammed two squad cars Monday.
GOLDEN, CO – Jefferson County sheriff's investigators are looking for the driver of a red pickup with an extended cab, who was allegedly firing shots from a handgun Monday morning and speeding down Lookout Mountain Road. The male driver, who had two female passengers, also rammed into two sheriff's vehicles and sped away.
Deputies responded around 9 a.m. Aug. 20 to the 1200 block of Lookout Mountain Rd. after witnesses reported a man shooting a handgun between Buffalo Bill’s Grave and Windy Saddle.
"A homeowner was reporting bullets ricocheting off his home," the sheriff's office said.

A deputy observed a red pickup parked off the roadway before Windy Saddle. As he pulled in front of the truck, "the driver accelerated and rammed the driver’s front fender of his patrol car," the sheriff's office said.
The deputy was uninjured. He described the driver of the truck as a "young Latino male" and also observed two women inside the cab.

"The truck then sped east down the mountain and sideswiped another deputy’s patrol car as the deputy jumped inside, knocking off the pickup truck’s driver side mirror," the sheriff's report said.
The second deputy also was not injured.
Deputies pulled other vehicles off the road for safety, (seen in the released video) and when the truck driver "maneuvered past more patrol cars in a very reckless manner," officers called off the pursuit for safety reasons.
The sheriff's office described the driver as a "white/Hispanic male with black hair, a slender face with a mustache and approximately 18 to 23 years old."
The women were described as a white/Hispanic female with long black hair and approximately 16 to 20 years old and a white female approximately 15 to 20 years old.
