Hilltop Community Resources moves into former Wells Fargo building in downtown Grand Junction (kjct8.com) — Hilltop Community Resources has consolidated many of its programs into the former Wells Fargo building in downtown Grand Junction, giving residents a single, redesigned hub for services. The new facility includes offices, program spaces, and even repurposed bank vaults turned into a staff training area and children’s play space, aiming to make getting help easier and more efficient.
   

2. School District 51 reports decline in student enrollment (kjct8.com) — Mesa County Valley School District 51 leaders in Grand Junction say enrollment has dropped by 622 students since last year, deepening a multi-year decline that’s already reduced numbers by more than 2,700 since 2019-20. With state funding tied to student counts, the board reviewed growing budget pressures, including frozen grants and federal proposals that could further affect key K‑12 programs.
   

3. Grand Junction Air Show to return in 2026 — now with buses (gjsentinel.com) — Grand Junction residents can look forward to the 2026 Air Show returning to the Regional Airport on Oct. 3–4, with new bus-only access from satellite parking to ease Horizon Drive gridlock. Organizers expect up to 15,000 attendees daily, feature acts like the Blue Angels and F-16 Vipers, and plan to release roughly $20–$25 tickets in January.
   

4. Wrestling teams get ready for 48th edition of Warrior Classic (gjsentinel.com) — Grand Junction wrestling fans can catch Warrior Classic action starting Friday, with boys’ matches at Central High School and District 51’s Phoenix girls hosting duals at Grand Junction High School’s auxiliary gym. Local standouts from Grand Junction, Fruita Monument, Central, Palisade and other Western Slope schools will battle top Colorado, Utah and New Mexico talent for individual and team titles.
