Driver Not Charged In Fatal Pedestrian Crash: Lakewood Police
A 58-year-old driver was not at fault in an accident that struck a pedestrian, police said. Richard Hansing, 36, later died of his injuries.

LAKEWOOD, CO – A 58-year-old driver will likely not be found at fault in a fatal auto-pedestrian crash in Lakewood Tuesday night, police said.
Around 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of West Alameda Avenue and South Depew Street, a westbound SUV on Alameda struck a man in the street, Lakewood police said in a statement.
Richard Hansing, 36, was taken to a hospital with serious injuries and later died.

Drugs and/or alcohol were not believed to have played a factor in this accident, police said. The 58 year-old driver was arrested on an unrelated misdemeanor warrant out of another jurisdiction, Lakewood police said. "At this time, it does not appear that the driver was at-fault in this accident," John Romero LPD spokesman said.
