GOCO Awards $2.1M for conservation and stewardship (lavozcolorado.com) — Lakewood is receiving a $58,200 GOCO-funded conservation corps grant to remove invasive Russian olive trees and restore native vegetation along Bear Creek Trail, a heavily used regional path. The broader funding package also supports trail and habitat projects across Arapahoe, Clear Creek, and the Denver metro foothills, aiming to improve recreation access and protect wildlife corridors.
   

3.
