Lakewood Man Convicted In Fatal Denver Hit-And-Run
A jury convicted Jason Brown, 42, of DUI vehicular homicide for an accident where he struck two pedestrians with his truck, killing one.

DENVER, CO - A Denver jury convicted a Lakewood man charged with killing a pedestrian and injuring another with his truck in an ally hit-and-run in June 2017.
Jason Brown, 42, was convicted of leaving the scene of an accident, DUI, vehicular homicide and other charges after a four-day jury trial. He will face another trial in April of 2019 for six counts of habitual criminal sentence enhancer charges. He will be sentenced after that trial, according to the Denver county District Attorney's office.
Brown ran over two persons with his truck in an alley in the zero block of North Broadway and North Lincoln Streets in Denver late Friday night, June 2, 2017, and left the scene without calling police, an arrest affidavit alleged. One person, 34-year-old Kimberly Macey, was killed. Another pedestrian victim, a male, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Police tracked Brown via his license plate to his home in the 100 block of Dudley Street in Lakewood early the next morning.
Brown has been held in the Denver Jail on a $35,000 bond since his arrest last year.
