'Lewd Furry' Video To Juvenile Lands Colorado Man In Texas Jail

JARELL, TX – A Lakewood, Colorado, man was arrested in Texas after after allegedly sending a lewd video of himself to a local teen that showed him performing sex acts while wearing a cat costume.

Steven Mathias, 36, was nabbed in Jarrell, Texas, Nov. 22 after flying to the Lone Star state to meet up with a 17-year-old girl, the Austin American Statesman reported. Mathias was charged with online solicitation of a minor, a second-degree felony with a possible 20-year prison sentence.

A police affidavit said on Nov. 15 Mathias sent the 17-year-old female teen a video of himself performing a "lewd act" while wearing a grey and white “furry suit” in the form of a cat, "designed for a person to have sex while wearing the suit," the Statesman reported.

He then hopped a plane to Texas Nov. 22, allegedly sending the teen a photo of him that said “cat’s on a plane,” and also texted “Can’t wait to hold you,” to the teenager, the Statesman reported. He allegedly rented a hotel room and told the teen via text he was coming to find her.

Police arrested him in front of the teen's home.

He was released from the Williamson County jail Nov. 24, after posting bail set at $55,000.
