Missing Man's Body May Have Been Taken By Suspects: Police

LAKEWOOD, CO — Lakewood police are continuing their search for a missing man and his truck, a 1997 red Ford F-150, Colorado plate BXX 317.

Gail Wilson, 81, was last heard from at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 31, police said. His truck was driven into downtown Denver by unknown suspects around 3:30 p.m., and the vehicle contained a rolled-up carpet, a tall white laundry basket and black trash bags.

"These items, likely containing the body of Wilson, were dumped in numerous areas in the vicinity of Colfax/Broadway/6th/York, sometime between 3:00 pm-5:00pm on 10/31/21," a missing person alert read.

Anyone who lives or works in the area who may have been a witness, or anyone who has video footage of the items being dumped from the truck, is asked to call the Lakewood Police Tip Line at 303-763-6800, and reference CR#LK21040621.
