GOLDEN, CO – A woman involved in the stabbing of a 43-year-old man in Lakewood was sentenced to prison in Jefferson County District Court Tuesday.

Amber Nicole Price, 34, was one of three defendants convicted for the stabbing of a 43-year-old man in January, 2018. Price was sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty in July to conspiracy to commit murder and one violent crime count, the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office said.

Price was the last of three people to be sentenced in the stabbing incident, which left the victim seriously wounded, but didn't kill him. Daniel Scott Watts, 32, was sentenced to 25 years in prison for attempted murder on July 11. Erik Dwayne Dowling, 27, was sentenced to ten years in prison for aggravated intimidation of a witness on Oct. 15.

On January 11, 2018 Price and Watts were staying with friends at the Denver West Motel when the victim texted Price in the middle of the night, asking for a ride from the Denver County jail, the DA's office said. Co-defendant Erik Dowling, Price's boyfriend, had called Amber Price from custody in the Jefferson County Jail and accused the victim of "snitching on Price’s sister," the DA's office said.
