Thunderstorms, ‘Oppressive’ Humidity This Weekend In CT: Here Is What To Expect

CONNECTICUT — As you plan your weekend activities, Saturday will have the highest chance for precipitation and even thunderstorms, while Sunday is expected to be more pleasant.

WFSB reports the remainder of Friday will be cool, with temperatures in the 70 to 75 range. While it is mostly cloudy, there will be some sunshine later today, according to the station.

“While an isolated shower can’t be ruled out, most towns stay dry. Thereafter, clouds are on the increase with a few isolated showers after midnight,” according to WFSB.

Warmer temperatures, “oppressive” higher humidity and partly sunny skies are expected for Saturday, when temperatures are expected to rise back into the 80s, the station reported.

A cold front will cross Saturday evening, and “showers and thunderstorms appear likely approaching sunset,” though they will be isolated, according to WFSB. The greatest chance for any severe storms is in the western part of the state, which could impact outdoor plans, the station reported.

Sunday is looking like the best day for outdoor activities. WFSB meteorologists predict mostly cloudy skies, with increasing sunshine, highs in the low to mid-80s, and “pleasant” humidity levels. Monday will be sunny and hot, with temperatures reaching back into the low 90s.
