"As it continues developing, heading up the coast tomorrow… moderate to heavy rain becomes likely; and, the wind intensifies," said WFSB 3 TV meteorologists. "Due to impacts to travel and outdoor plans, tomorrow is a *First Alert Weather Day* (heavy rain will reduce visibility and ponding on roadways could increase the threat of hydroplaning). Furthermore, 1-2″ of rain (perhaps more) could lead to poor drainage flooding concerns. To add insult to injury, it will also be unseasonably cool with highs in the upper 40s and lower 50s (closer to our normal overnight low for this time of year)!"

WFSB 3 TV forecasters said record low temperatures are possible.

Memorial Day weekend forecast details

"After what will be a soggy end to the work week, we anticipate improvement (slowly) over the Holiday weekend! For now, Saturday appears to feature at least a chance for isolated showers (by no means a washout) with highs between 60 and 65. Sunday is dry, and under a mix of sun and clouds temps top out near 70. Then, Memorial Day Monday should be dry and fairly bright with highs in the mid-70s inland and lower 70s along the shoreline. So, while this weekend marks the “unofficial start to summer” temperatures at least get back to levels closer to normal for this time of year!" said WFSB 3 TV meteorologists.
