Deceased Puppy Found In New Britain Park: Police

An investigation has been launched into the animal's death.

NEW BRITAIN, CT — A deceased puppy was found at Stanley Quarter Park pond on Monday.

Rachel Zaniewski, communications director for the city, said the New Britain Police Department’s Animal Control division received a call after the puppy was discovered Monday morning.

The animal was estimated to be about two weeks old and was a Rottweiler mix, she said. Authorities did not release any information about the cause of the animal’s death.
