Ex-Employee Accused Of Targeting Putnam Business With Bomb Threats: PD

The two threats happened in July 2024, according to police.

PUTNAM, CT — A Norwich man is accused of making two bomb threats against his former employer last summer.

Christopher D. Pina, 42, of 62 Summit St., Norwich, was charged Thursday with two counts of first-degree threatening, according to police.

The bomb threats targeted a Putnam business on two separate dates in July 2024.

Investigators concluded a former employee was responsible, which led to two warrants for Pina’s arrest, police said, in an announcement.

Police did not identify the local business where Pina formerly worked.

Police took Pina into custody Thursday around 2:15 p.m., and he was transported to Superior Court in Danielson for arraignment later today.
