Killingly Home Invasion, Brass Knuckle Assault Fueled By Jealousy: Police
A Plainfield woman faces multiple charges in connection with the June 15 attack, according to state police.

KILLINGLY, CT — A Plainfield woman is accused of breaking into a woman’s local home and then beating her with brass knuckles, an attack police say was motivated by perceived romantic rivalry.
State police said the assault happened Sunday around 4:10 a.m. on Church Street.
The victim told troopers that Giana Garcia, 27, of Plainfield, forced entry into her apartment, then struck her in the head several times with brass knuckles, “causing injuries and pain,” according to police. The woman was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Police said Garcia believed the woman “had a relationship with her husband, prompting the assault.”
When Garcia first arrived at the woman’s home, her vehicle collided with the woman’s parked vehicle, causing damage to its rear bumper, police said.
