CONNECTICUT — High heat, humidity and more thunderstorms are in the forecast for Connecticut this week.
The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook and heat advisory for the state due to anticipated high temperatures and humidity.
Heat index values of up to 100 degrees are expected, according to the National Weather Service. It advises residents to limit outdoor activities during the middle of the day, drink plenty of fluids, and stay in air conditioning when possible.

Temperatures are expected to reach between 85 and 90 degrees today, with “oppressive” humidity making it feel like it is in the 90s, the station reported.
“If we hit 90 at Bradley Airport, then we start what will likely be our 2nd heat wave of ’25 (we need 3 consecutive days 90 or higher),” WFSB reported.
WFSB has First Alert Weather Days for the remainder of the work week due to the anticipated heat index values reaching up to 100 degrees.
WFSB predicts there will be a chance for isolated thunderstorms every day this week, but the chance increases on Friday when a cold front is expected to come through Connecticut. These storms could be strong to severe, according to the station.
