CT Weather: Timeline For Severe Weather Released, It Will Feel Like 100 Degrees Thursday
It could feel as hot as 105 degrees on Thursday in Connecticut but changing weather conditions begin Friday.
CONNECTICUT — It will be another hot, humid and oppressive day in Connecticut today, with a chance for isolated severe thunderstorms.
The National Weather Service has a heat advisory in place for Connecticut for Thursday, and it cautions that high temperatures and high humidity can cause heat-related illnesses.
Thursday will be the last day with “dangerous heat and humidity,” and heat indices reaching up to around 100 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

WFSB 3 TV is reporting that today’s forecast will make it the second heat wave of the year.
“We hit 90 at Bradley Airport Tuesday, 93 yesterday… therefore what will likely be our 2nd heat wave of ’25 is underway and becomes official today (we need 3 consecutive days 90 or higher to qualify),” WFSB reported.

Most of Thursday is expected to be dry, however isolated severe thunderstorms are possible into early Thursday evening, according to the National Weather Service. The timeline for severe thunderstorms is from noon until 10 p.m., with the main concern being damaging wind gusts.
WFSB reports that some showers and “maybe a rumble of thunder” will roll through late morning.
“A mid to late morning shower/storm can’t be ruled out,” WFSB reported.
This afternoon, WFSB predicts it will be sunny with temperatures reaching into the lower 90s, but it will feel like it is between 95 and 105 degrees due to the humidity.
Around sunset, a cold front arrives, bringing with it a chance for an isolated shower or storm, according to WFSB.
After the front passes through, Friday is expected to have “spectacular” weather, with cooler air and lower humidity, WFSB reports, and the station anticipates Saturday will be similar. The station is monitoring potential rain for Sunday.
