CONNECTICUT — Pullman & Comley, LLC has been named a Law360 Regional Powerhouse for 2024, one of only two Connecticut firms to be honored by the legal news service. According to Law360, Pullman & Comley earned the accolade, by “focusing on green energy, guiding economic development and crafting unique solutions to social inequality,” adding that Pullman & Comley is “parlaying its position as the biggest law firm in the state's largest city to help guide communities confronting and overcoming postindustrial challenges.”

Winners were selected in more than a dozen states, with the firms reflecting the unique local strengths of their states, “while often representing clients in deals and cases that captured national attention,” according to the Law360 article released on September 16.

Law360 highlighted multiple instances of success over the past year as justification for the honor, which “cemented Pullman & Comley's status as a Law360 Regional Powerhouse in 2024.” Those include:

  • Regulatory approvals for the largest solar energy project in New England
  • Regulatory approvals for eight large-scale battery storage facilities
  • Repurposing brownfield sites in Naugatuck, Hartford, Bridgeport and Stamford
  • Representing the Capital Region development Authority in connection with a $145 million upgrade to the XL Center
  • Assisting the Connecticut Office of the State Treasurer in the development of its groundbreaking “Baby Bonds” Program
  • A highly accomplished alternative dispute resolution practice including four retired judges
  • Leadership in the state's medical and recreational cannabis industry

A detailed profile in Law360 touched on the evolution of Pullman & Comley through expansion, mergers and acquisitions, and its embrace of new legal trends. According to Pullman & Comley chair Lee Hoffman, “We get really excited about doing something new that hasn’t been done before.”
