Reward Offered For Missing Donkey: Animal Control

BETHLEHEM, CT — The Bethlehem Connecticut Animal Control and Desmond's Army Animal Law Advocates announced that a $3,000 reward has been offered for information "leading to the positive identification of the finder and recovery of Jackie the donkey who is still missing."

Desmond’s Army Animal Law Advocates is offering the $3,000 reward.

"The owner is asking that if you do have her to please bring her home or bring her somewhere safe and alert animal control so that we can coordinate her being picked up. You will be asked to provide your name and contact information," animal control officials said in a Facebook post.

"This donkey went missing on Hickory Lane 2 days ago. She was only seen once when this picture was taken," anumal control officials said. "Unfortunately, we were not alerted, and despite our best efforts as well as our donkey expert's efforts, she is still missing. We are asking anyone who lives in the area to please check your cameras and if you have livestock to double-check your herds in the event that she may have joined up with them. A drone was deployed yesterday, and she was not seen wandering on her own. Please, if you find her or have seen her contact Bethlehem Animal Control at (203) 233-1137. Other area Animal Control agencies have been notified as well as letting the state troopers know the situation. Please let get this mother donkey back home to her son."
