CT Weather: Thunderstorms Forecast Thursday And New Details On When This Heat Wave Ends
If you're tired of the 100 degree days, here are new details on when the heat wave is expected to end in Connecticut.
A cold front passing through the state on Thursday could bring thunderstorms to Connecticut, according to meteorologists.
Meanwhile, relief from the heat and humidity is coming, forecasters said.
WFSB 3 TV meteorologists said the rest of Wednesday will be mostly dry, but some isolated showers or storms “can’t be ruled out.”

The current oppressive heat will continue into Thursday, with heat index values possibly exceeding 100 degrees, according to WFSB. The National Weather Service has a heat advisory and hazardous weather outlook for Connecticut through late Thursday, due to these anticipated heat index values.
An approaching cold front is now expected to hit the state on Thursday, bringing with it isolated to scattered storms, WFSB reports. Forecasters previously predicted this front would arrive on Friday.

Due to this change in timing, Friday is no longer a “First Alert Weather Day” for WFSB, which expects Friday to be cooler and less humid.
Timing of potential storms
The National Weather Service said storms may begin after 2 a.m. Thursday and continue off and on throughout the day on Thursday. There is a 60 to 80 percent chance of precipitation on Thursday, the weather service said.
Rain may impact weekend plans
WFSB reports Saturday will be sunny and comfortable, with temperatures in the 80s and low humidity, though Sunday may bring wet weather. Early next week is also looking to be dry and comfortable, according to WFSB. (Read more at WFSB 3 TV).
