Teen Charged In Ansonia Street Takeover: Police
The April street takeover involved a large crowd of youths, according to police.
ANSONIA, CT — A 17-year-old male faces racing and rioting charges for the April 26 street takeover on Wakelee Avenue, police said Thursday.
Dozens of youths took part in the incident, and a police cruiser was damaged, according to police.
Police did not release the arrested teen’s name due to his age.

On May 15, police charged him with first-degree riot, conspiracy to commit first-degree riot, and first-degree reckless endangerment.
On June 4, police additionally charged him with racing, reckless driving, operating without a license, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and operating with no insurance.

The teen will be arraigned Friday in Superior Court in Derby.
