Avon Election Results 2023: Polls Close, Votes Being Counted
Thousands of Avon residents have cast their votes in the 2023 municipal election in a number of key races.

AVON, CT — The polls have closed in Avon and the votes are being counted to determine numerous key races on the town council, board of finance, and school board.
The following is Avon's 2023 election ballot and results (when available):
Avon Town Council (vote for five)
Democratic candidates are: Dan Polhamus, Barbara Ausiello, Anthony Weber and Erin Barthel.

Republican candidates are: Margaret Bratton, Jeff Bernetich, James Rocco and Drew Bloom.
Board of Finance (vote for three)

Democratic candidates are: Micah Rousey and Catherine Salchert
Republican candidates are: Randall Bowers, Kathleen Johnson and Brian Loveless.
Board of Education (vote for five)
Democratic candidates are: Christopher Campbell, Debra Chute, Suzanne Szekeres and Sarah Thompson
Republican candidates are: Nicole Russo, Brian Farrell and Lili Daoud.
Board of Education - two-year vacancy (vote for one)
Republican Ramesh Kandipilli is running unopposed.
Board of Assessment Appeals (vote for three)
Democratic candidates are: Chelsea Ross and Mike Guerrera.
Republican candidates are: Jeffrey Maguire, Kenneth David Schultz and Michael Woiten.
Zoning Board of Appeals (vote for three)
The Democratic candidates are: Aden Baume and James McNeely.
The Republican candidates are: David Cappello, Eileen Reilly and Ruthanne Babich.
Zoning Board of Appeals - two-year vacancy (vote for one)
Democrat Michelle O'Connor is running unopposed.
