Avon Forum To Discuss A Very Difficult Issue

AVON, CT — A Branford-based nonprofit is hosting a very important forum next week in Avon on the difficult topic of human trafficking.

'We Are One Inc.,' a nonprofit anti-human trafficking group, will be at the Avon Free Public Library, 281 Country Club Road, Avon, on Monday, July 7, at 7 p.m.

There, representatives of the nonprofit will discuss the issue of human trafficking, promoting awareness as well as ways to stop it and avoid it.

"Join us for a powerful and educational seminar that is ideal for parents, educators, service providers, and especially teens and young adults who want to protect themselves and others," wrote event organizers in an announcement.

"Awareness is the first step toward prevention."
