The Town of Avon, through the Avon Clean Energy Commission, has teamed up with New England Smart Energy (NESE) to encourage residents to participate.
Residents can sign up with NESE, an authorized contractor, to perform home energy assessments and follow-up weatherization, according to event organizers.
The goal is for folks to reduce energy consumption, save money, and improve the health, safety, and comfort of one's home, officials said.
The commission has set a goal of registering 100 households to participate over the next 12 months.
