Avon Garden Club Brings In Gardening Guru For Special Event
The Garden Club of Avon is hosting as special program Sept. 11 featuring an award-winning gardener's presentation.
AVON, CT — The Garden Club of Avon is bringing in a heavy hitter in the gardening scene Monday, Sept. 11, for a special program and meal.
The event is called "Learn, Listen & Laugh" and it will take place at noon at the Church of Saint Ann's Father Bennett Hall, 289 Arch Road.
It will feature noted gardening expert Marty Devenney, who has won multiple awards at the Philadelphia Flower Show along with other prestigious gardening events.

At the program, Devenney will demonstrate: How to make large-scale floral designs; Floral arrangement tips; Foliage manipulation practices; and, simply, tell humorous stories about the gardening scene.
In addition, the event will feature a buffet lunch.
