Avon Library To Help Folks De-Stress Via Meditation

The library is hosting a free, virtual program this week that aims to guide and teach folks to experience meditative bliss.

AVON, CT — The local library is hosting a virtual event this week that aims to help folks melt their stress away through the power of meditation.

The Avon Free Public Library is hosting the forum "The Powerful Benefits Meditation Provides" on Thursday, Oct. 23, at 7 p.m.

"Meditation can bring about a sense of calm and balance that benefits both your emotional and physical well-being, which in turn will impact your overall health and reduce stress," wrote event organizers in an announcement.

"It is easy to learn and can have many lasting and beneficial effects. After you meditate, the benefits don’t end when your session ends."

Participants will be able to join mediation expert Eileen Carlotto, who has been meditating for over 30 years, for this workshop.

Carlotto is a recently retired middle-school art teacher, author, and illustrator.

With over 40 years of meditation experience to draw on, Eileen offers workshops on various aspects of meditation and spirituality.
