Avon Lions Carnival Promises Weekend Of Family Fun
The event will take place Friday through Sunday, Aug. 2-4.

AVON, CT — Area families looking for something fun to do can do that in Avon Friday, Aug. 2, through Sunday, Aug. 4, and help out a local civic organization as well.
The Avon Lions Club is hosting its annual "Avon Lions Carnival" at 99 Thompson Road, Avon, this weekend, with a special fireworks show kicking off the three days of fun.
Featuring games, rides, and plenty of tasty carnival food, the three-day celebration also will have a fireworks show on Friday night.

The carnival's hours are 6 to 10 p.m. Friday (with ticket booths opening at 5 p.m.); 2 to 10 p.m. Saturday; and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 4.
Most attractions require three or four tickets, which are $2 each.

For those planning to ride everything, wristbands allowing access to all rides are available for $35 each, with a sheet of 21 tickets available for $35 as well.
Carnival proceeds benefit the Avon Lions Club and all of the causes the civic organization supports.
