Avon Schools Ranked Among Top 100 in Connecticut
The schools are some of the best in the state according to Niche.com, which ranked 19,710 middle schools nationwide.

We’ve seen rankings regarding the best high schools in the country and the state, and more recently the top elementary schools in Connecticut and the United States.

So it was only a matter of time before we’d see a ranking of the top middle schools in the state of Connecticut.
And Niche.com recently did just that as it ranked the top middle schools in the county and the top 100 middle schools in Connecticut.

Niche says it ranked 19,710 middle schools nationwide based on key student statistics and 4.6 million opinions from 280,000 students and parents.
In this state, Fairfield County dominates the top 10, monopolizing the top 8 positions as Saxe Middle School in New Canaan was deemed to be No.1, followed by Bedford Middle School in Westport, and East Ridge Middle School in Ridgefield.
The first non-Fairfield County middle school to be ranked was the Henry James Memorial School in Simsbury, which ranked No. 9 overall.
Avon has one middle school and it landed at No. 15 in Connecticut. Avon Middle School received an overall A+ score and 98 percent of students are proficient in reading and math.
Thompson Brook School came in at No. 17. It received an overall score of A+ and 96 percent of students are proficient in reading and math.
