Avon's 2025 'Tablescapes' Winners Turn Dinner Settings Into Art

The Avon Historical Society's 'Tablecapse 2025' contest last month raised money to benefit the new Avon History Museum to open in July.

AVON, CT — One of the local community's biggest and most-anticipated fundraisers is complete, and the winners of the 2025 "Tablescapes" event are now basking in their glory.

The annual fundraiser for the Avon Historical Society transforms simple, dinner table settings and turns them into works of art, with many contestants showcasing their creativity annually.

This year, the "Tablescapes 2025" contest took place March 14-15 at the historic North House, 1 Nod Road, Avon.

Proceeds of the event helped the Avon Historical Society open its brand new Avon History Museum, set to open to the public on July 4.

The fundraiser featured themed table settings from local professional designers, florists, businesses, individuals, artists, and others.

The tools of their trade were fresh floral arrangements, centerpieces and other accessories.

The 2025 winners, according to the Avon Historical Society, were:

• First Place: "Touches of Avon" by Tracy Payne, Ann Wood, and Mary Ann Haar, Laylock Cottage Art & Design.

• Second Place: “Thanks for the Post ” by Tracy Gerace, volunteer at H.O.P.E. Partners of Farmington.
