The event is a fundraiser for the foundation, a nonprofit organization that helps fund various school system endeavors not covered in the education budget.
According to the foundation, the "Fancy Dance" allows kids to "put on your fancy clothes and dancing shoes" and "invite your favorite grown-up to a night of fun and dancing."
