Busy Roadway To Close In Avon Next Week

AVON, CT — Road work will cause traffic headaches for motorists next week, with motorists asked to take that into consideration as they navigate around parts of Avon for several days.

According to the Town of Avon's engineering department, road work on New Road will require the closure of the roadway in the vicinity of 197 New Road.

That closure will take effect Monday, April 14, through Tuesday, April 22.

There will be a detour in place at School Street at the north and Fenwick Drive at the south.

Barriers will be in place at those locations indicating "No Thru Traffic – Local Traffic Only."
