Center Provides Locals Therapeutic Massage For More Than 20 Years

Patch: How long have you been doing business in town?

Dufault: Over 20 years! Established 1998.

Patch: What attracted you to the line of work you’re in, and how did you get started?

Dufault: Our team of professional therapists have a common desire to help those in need to de-stress and/or ease muscular discomfort from injuries, illness and muscular overuse.

Patch: If you had to sum up your business mission to a stranger in five words, what would those words be?

Dufault: Our goal is to help.

Patch: What’s the biggest challenge or most difficult moment you’ve faced in your job?

Dufault: After being in the same location on East Main Street for many years, moving to our new and bigger location on Dec. 1, 2021 to West Main St., has been our year’s highlight! We were all anxious to see if the current clients — and us — would be comfortable with the move and that the move would be a successful decision. It certainly was!

Patch: What’s the most satisfying part of your job?

Dufault: Seeing the happy face of a client when they are pleased with the session they received.

Patch: How would you say your business or organization distinguishes itself from the others?

Dufault: Although all our modalities are popular, we are well known for our deep tissue massage, custom tailored body therapy, cleanliness and being good listeners. We have an easy online scheduling system with many scheduling options and complimentary sauna and steam units!

Patch: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given when it comes to success?

Dufault: Be a good listener and communicator.

Patch: Are there any new projects or endeavors you’re working on that you’re extra excited about? If so, what details can you share and what makes it so exciting?

Dufault:
1. We are all super excited about our new location. It’s larger, sparkling new and even quieter than before! We like to call it our “tree house” because our office, although located on the first floor and handicap accessible, is elevated to the mid-height of the woods outside our windows!

2. Our team will also be growing due to demand.

3. Adding modalities that will give special attention to our post-COVID clientele.

4. With the owner having three of her own children in the U.S. Army, Avon Massage Therapy Center provides a 10 percent discount to all veterans.
