College Scholarships Available For Avon High Schoolers

AVON, CT — The town has recently announced a scholarship program for Avon students that could take a big dent out of their college bills when it's time to go.

Avon High School students and high school students who are residents of Avon can get scholarships for post-secondary education ranging from $500 to $5,000.

A scholarship is even available if they don't plan to attend a four-year college.

Those planning to major in engineering may have an "exceptional opportunity" this year, according to Avon Dollars for Scholars.
