Family Fun, Folly Topic Of Avon Theater Event
Avon's Playhouse 44 theater group is hosting a storytelling event on Wednesday, April 30, at a local church.
AVON, CT — Nearly all of us can relate to the shenanigans that can go on at family gatherings, and a special event next week in Avon will provide both entertainment and therapy at the same time.
On Wednesday, April 30, Playhouse 44 will host its second night of storytelling at the Avon Congregational Church, 6 W. Main St., Avon.
Beginning at 7 p.m., the program on tap is called “Relatively Speaking: The Fun & Folly of Family Get-Togethers.”
The program will feature true, mixed-emotion tales of what happened at some holiday get-togethers, family reunions, weddings and birthdays, family picnics, and more.
Stories include “A Tale of Two Uncles,” “The Chaos Inside is Frightful, the Noise is So Delightful,” “The Passover Plotz,” “Cheesecake’s Fault,” and others.
The event is free, but a donation to support Playhouse 44 is recommended.
Donations can be made at https://playhouse44.org/donate... or mailed to Playhouse 44, P.O. Box 61, Avon, CT 06001. Space is limited, so register today at info@playhouse44.org.
