Flower Lovers Group To Host 'Huge' Plant Sale In Avon
The Connecticut Daylily Society is hosting its annual "huge" plant sale this Saturday at the Avon Senior Center.
AVON, CT — Chances are, if you like what you see regarding the flora and fauna around Avon this time of year, a local organization dedicated to one certain flower is behind it.
And now, it is looking to share what they love with you.
The Connecticut Daylily Society is hosting its annual "huge" plant sale this Saturday at the Avon Senior Center, Sycamore Hills Park, 635 W. Avon Road, Avon.

It will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 20, rain or shine, with payments allowed to be made via cash or check.
According to the organization's website, the Connecticut Daylily Society (CDS) is a "non-profit group of perennial enthusiasts who meet several times a year to discuss our favorite flower– the daylily."

The organization is affiliated with the American Hemerocallis Society.
Most of its meetings are at the Avon Senior Center and are free of charge and open to the public.
