Home Inspections For Energy Efficiency Slated In Avon
The Town of Avon and an area home services firm have partnered in an effort to get as many local homes inspected as possible.
AVON, CT — The Avon Clean Energy Commission has partnered this summer with an area home services firm to encourage local residents to have their home evaluated for energy conservation.
The town is working with Aiello Home Services of Windsor Locks to reserve appointments in Avon through August.
The initiative actually started in July, with those interested asked to make an appointment with Aiello.

Professionals with that company will come to a home, evaluate what needs to be done to maximize energy efficiency, then assist a homeowner in planning what the next steps are.
The fee for the evaluation is $50, with some residents with certain incomes eligible for free evaluations.
