It's Here, Avon's Massive Rummage Sale, What You Need To Know

The annual Avon Congregational Church event starts Friday, April 11, and it is a well-known Farmington Valley tradition.

AVON, CT — One of Avon's biggest gatherings of the year starts Friday and continues into Saturday in the form of the annual Avon Congregational Church Rummage Sale.

The event, which draws folks from Avon and surrounding towns, starts Friday, April 11, from 5 to 8 p.m. and continues Saturday, April 12, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

There is no admission fee, and Saturday will feature half price on most items at the church, which is located at 6 W. Main St.

For those not in the know, the massive rummage sale features "quality items and unbeatable prices," according to the church.

It will include small furniture, jewelry, home décor and collectibles, house and kitchenwares, toys, linens, crafts, holiday items, art and antiques, lamps, gardening, small appliances, sporting goods, and more.

"The sale is known throughout Farmington Valley for variety, quality, and tidy arrangement," wrote the church.

What fuels the rummage sale are the donations of myriad usable items, which have been collected April 6-10.
