AVON, CT — Town officials said a prominent roadway in town will be closed to traffic starting early next week for much of the day due to utility work. Signs have been posted at each end of Chevas Road indicating the road will be closed to through traffic between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. for several days beginning Monday, June 2.
